The I International Course of Dengue was held during the month of July of 2012 in the city of Bucaramanga. In association with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, National Institute Of Health, Pan American Health Organization and the Dengue Vaccine Initiative (DVI), the course count with the participation of 13 countries and most of the endemic departments of Colombian Territory.
The course was developed in 1 week (Monday through Friday) full time and was divided into two parts, a theoretical analysis and other theoretical/practical according to the profile and specific area of interest of the participants.
The Aedes Network was in charge of organizing the II International Course of Dengue that was held during the days 13-16 of August 2014, in the city of Bucaramanga. In association with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, National Institute of Health, Pan American Health Organization and the Dengue Vaccine Initiative (DVI). During the event 37 speakers participated, 18 of these were international speakers from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, England, United States, Canada and Korea. 130 people attended as assistants representing the most endemic regions by Dengue, which are the ones that are involved and commitment in the actions for decreasing the impact of Dengue in Colombia. With this academic Course it fulfilled the goal of providing to the people that attend tools for the implementation and strengthening the management strategy for the prevention and control of Dengue.
